Community Living Ontario (CLO) supports the work of one hundred member associations in Ontario. Their overall goal is to create communities where people who have an intellectual disability can fully participate in society because they are included in decisions and considered citizens. In 2016 they launched an awareness campaign with the theme of “Be the Spark” and came to us to execute on this central idea. The campaign highlighted people with intellectual disabilities leading the way in advancing inclusion in their own lives and communities.  It also allowed forward thinking, local associations to demonstrate their person-centered and family-centered mindset.

Our uplifting modular design helped make their message even more powerful and addressed the need for it to be flexible for multiple audiences and grassroots locations across the province. By creating the “Spark Change” brand, we provided them with engaging graphics that easily accommodated various messages: Spark Change in your school / workplace / community / life / home. We knew that photos would vary. With this in mind, we created a design style for the photographs so that they would work together seamlessly.
